You won’t soon forget the drive up the wild Fiddle valley to the hottest mineral springs in the Rockies. Flowing from the mountain at 54°C, the water is cooled to a comfortable temperature of 40°C as it enters the pools. Peaceful surroundings with these services:

  • Open May to mid-October
  • Modern facility with a stunning view of Ashlar Ridge
  • Two hot pools — shallow pool with lounging area and wheelchair access,
    and a deeper hot pool
  • Cool poolside shower
  • Cafe and gift shop
  • Interpretive trail to the source of the hot springs
  • Superb hiking in subalpine terrain
  • Excellent wildlife viewing with opportunities - see bighorn sheep, black bear and deer

Hours of Operation

Miette Hot Springs is open from early-May to mid-October annually. Extended hours offered during holiday periods; please check here for details.

61 km east of Jasper townsite
51 km west of Hinton
From Jasper, proceed east on highway 16 for 44 km to the Pocahontas Bungalows and the Miette Road junction. From Hinton, proceed west on highway 16 for 34 km to Pocahontas Bungalows and the Miette Road junction. From there, proceed south on the Miette Road. Miette Hot Springs are at the end of Miette Road, 17 km ahead.
