What is an enterprise unit?

THE CANADIAN ROCKIES HOT SPRINGS are managed as an enterprise or business unit within PARKS CANADA. As such, it relies on revenues generated at the hot springs facilities for all of its expenses. No government tax money is used to operate the hot springs. When you visit Banff, Miette or Radium Hot Springs, your admission fee goes directly back into covering the costs of staffing, maintenance, capital improvements and all other things that are required to fully maintain the facilities.
