Entry Fees for Commercial Group Tour Operators

Prices for April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2010

Advance Notice of Fee Increases
Parks Canada is committed to provide the tourism industry with a minimum of 18 months advance notice of new travel trade fees. The current entry fees through to March 31, 2010 are listed below.

Maintaining High Quality Visitor Services
Parks Canada is known for providing high quality visitor experiences at Canada's world-renowned national parks and national historic sites. However, many of Parks Canada's visitor facilities were built in the 1950s to early 1970s. Despite regular maintenance, they have reached the end of their normal life cycles and need to be rebuilt or replaced. Parks Canada will be spending the money earned from commercial group tour fees in parks and sites where they are collected to help ensure that visitor facilities continue to meet your expectations in the years to come.

Volume Discounts
Volume discounts are available:

• 5% for annual volumes of 500 to 2000 visitors
• 10% for annual volumes of 2001 to 3000 visitors
• 15% discounts for volumes greater than 3000 visitors

Discounts will be based on the number of visitors brought by a commercial group operator during the previous year and can be confirmed at the offices where operators pay their fees.

Special FIT Rates
A 10% discount off the regular price is provided to Fully Independent Traveller (FIT) commercial tour suppliers for bulk orders of 100 park or site specific daily or annual national passes ( National Parks of Canada Pass, National Historic Sites of Canada Pass or Discovery Package ).

General Notes

• All prices are listed in Canadian dollars, and include all taxes applicable to the province or territory in which they are charged.
• All prices are quoted by Government of Canada fiscal year, which runs from April 1 to the following March 31, unless otherwise indicated.
• All rates, except otherwise indicated, are on a per person per day basis.
• In most cases, rates indicated are for entry to the park or site only.
• Children 5 years of age and under are admitted free of charge to all National Parks, National Historic Sites and Historic Canals.
• Fees listed are for organized commercial groups only and are not available to FIT visitors who are visiting through an itinerary/package purchased from a tour operator.
• A number of parks and sites have special services, such as step-on guides, naturalist programs and interpretive programs; please call them for information and arrangements.
